Cardio-Plus worked like a charm:
When I came with my dog “Charlie” for his weekly checkup with Dr Moorehead, I was 40+1 weeks pregnant and waiting for labor to start at any moment.
While talking with Doc about how I was feeling, he noticed how swollen my feet and calves were and recommended for me to go on Cardio-Plus (a whole food supplement manufactured by Standard Process Company) to improve my circulation. He said to take them 3 times a day and then when labor starts to continue taking them to help keep things going.
I took the amount he prescribed as soon as we left and by that evening, I started experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions. The Braxton Hicks continued all throughout the weekend and by Monday night I was in active labor without even knowing it.
On Monday night, I also saw a family friend for lymphatic drainage massage and pool time to take pressure off my body. I believe the Cardio-Plus and the pool time helped my body so much. Throughout that whole night, I was having what I thought were Braxton Hicks’ contractions since I did not believe them to be a consistent pattern. By Tuesday morning, I had a gut feeling to just call my doctor to get a checkup as I was 40+5 days at this point.
When I went to the doctor, I was 6-7cm dilated and had to race to the hospital. I was admitted into the hospital around 12pm and baby girl made her arrival at 7:04 pm. I took the Cardio-Plus all throughout those 5 days and a couple times during labor until I was ready to push.
The Cardio-Plus definitely helped get everything going and I believe helped me get labor started since I was experiencing no symptoms of labor until Cardio-Plus was introduced to me at that doctor’s appt.
I am so glad I went to Dr. Moorehead that day and he recommended those supplements for me. I have continued to take them since leaving the hospital and the swelling was completely gone in my feet and legs about a week and a half after delivery.
